Her Fashion Hire is a Melbourne dress hire studio run by me, Jess. I've got 100+ dresses available to hire for cocktail events, formal nights, and everything in between. You book directly with me, try them on at my studio in Blackburn North, and I handle everything from there.
How it started
I started this at 17 with 20 dresses and a corner of my parents' garage.
There was no business plan. No investor. No grand strategy. I just thought buying a dress you wear once and never touch again made no sense, and I wanted to do something about it. So I bought some dresses I loved, figured out the hire side as I went, and started posting on Instagram.
The first hires came from friends and friends of friends. I cleaned and pressed everything myself. I drove dresses across Melbourne when I had to. And every dollar I made went straight back into new stock. Slowly, it became something real.
A few years later, there are over 100 dresses in the collection, I am still the one doing everything, and I would not have it any other way. I know these dresses because I selected every single one. I know which ones photograph well and which ones run small. I know which designer to call when something needs replacing. And if you send us a message, that is me answering.

I have been running Her Fashion Hire since 2023. I select every dress in the collection personally, inspect and clean each one between hires. So you can relax and enjoy your event.
I started this business as a teenager because I believed there was a smarter way to dress for a night out. That has not changed. What has changed is that we now have 150+ five-star Google reviews and 100+ dresses that I genuinely love.

How I run things
Every dress gets checked. Every time.
After every hire the dress comes back to me. I inspect it and send it for dry cleaning or spot clean it myself depending on the fabric. By the time it goes out again, it is ready. I have only ever had to write off one dress in all my years of trading. That is not luck, that is the process.
Honest about fit.
If a dress is not going to work for your body shape or your event, I will say so. I would rather you hire something that looks incredible on you than have you take something just because it was there. Try-ons exist for exactly this reason. Come in, bring a few styles you love, and we will work it out.
You deal with me, not a system.
All bookings and questions come directly to me. DM us on Instagram or fill in the booking form and I will get back to you. No automated replies. No outsourced customer service. Just me.
The collection is real.
Every dress in this collection is something I chose because I actually love it. I track what photographs well, what hires out repeatedly, and what girls come back asking for again. If something is not earning its spot, it goes. That is why the collection stays curated and every one of them is worth hiring.
